The Sampler tour starts at 6pm under the clock tower at the iconic Ben Thanh Market. It lasts approximately four hours, and will cover at least six different stops where we will taste a wide variety of Vietnamese street food. The walk will take about 2.5 kilometres.
A couple of the dishes that we will sample on the tour:
Con Nghêu Hấp
Clams steamed in a broth flavoured with lemongrass, chili and garlic.
Kem Xôi Dừa
Coconut ice cream atop a bed of sliced fresh coconut and sticky rice. Topped with peanuts, toasted coconut shavings and sweetened condensed milk. Served in a coconut shell.
The tour costs $59 USD and includes all your food and drinks (including beer), and guide.
We advise wearing comfortable shoes and cool clothing as it is pretty warm in Saigon, even at night. You should definitely not bring any valuables with you other than essentials. This includes jewelry such as necklaces and bracelets, and cameras should be kept in a secure bag which is strapped across your torso. As a general rule, if it can’t fit in your pocket, don’t bring it on tour. However, if you do have items that need to be secured, our guide will carry a backpack to store your valuables.
To keep our tour intimate and personal, we have a maximum number of 10 guests per tour, so book early to avoid disappointment.
